What subject do you tutor?
I specialize in teaching Chemistry at the high school and college levels.
How long have you been teaching?
I have taught students in the New York City and East Orange public school systems over the last 25 years.
When and where are sessions held?
Tutoring sessions are held online via a digital video/whiteboard platform to allow students to easily join sessions from anywhere. Sessions are scheduled in 1 hour increments at an agreed-upon time and frequency.
How long are tutoring sessions?
Tutoring sessions are 1 hour long.
What’s the difference between private and group tutoring?
Private tutoring sessions allow students to learn and progress at their own pace, and are ideal for those that benefit from personalized instruction. Group sessions include approximately 3 to 5 students and encourage peer interaction, discussion, and teamwork, helping students to learn from each other while still benefiting from professional guidance. Group tutoring is offered at a discount based on the size of the group; please inquire to learn more.
What’s the difference between the pay-as-you-go and bundle options?
Pay-as-you-go tutoring option is billed by the hour and is ideal for first-time clients. After the initial session, I encourage clients to choose a package option, which provides a set number of sessions at a discounted rate. Sessions can be scheduled at any frequency that fits the client’s needs—whether that’s weekly, biweekly, or with breaks of a week or more between lessons. There’s no need to complete all sessions back-to-back; you have full flexibility to plan around your schedule.
How can I pay for my session?
You can easily pay for your session through Venmo or Zelle. For the pay-as-you-go option, payment is due at the end of each session. For package options, full payment for the package is required before the first lesson.
